The Alumni Association established in April 1989 as an Association of Past students of the premier Commerce College of Hargovindas Laxmichand College Commerce popularly known as H.L. College - Commerce College. HL College is a part of Ahmedabad Education Society, India’s leading luminaries charitable educational organization founded in 1935 by Sheth Shri Kasturbhai Lalbhai, Sheth Shri Amratlal Harjivandas, Shri G.V. Mavlankar etc.
Last decade brought in four institutes on the HL Campus. They are:
- HL Institute of Commerce
- B.K. Majmudar Institute of Business Administration
- HL Institute of Computer Application
- HL Centre for Post Graduate Studies
The Alumni Association is now an association of all the past students of all the Institutes on the Campus. |

H.L.COLLEGE OF COMMERCE (HLCC) : H.L.College of Commerce is a Parent Institute of our Alumni Association. This premier institute of Commerce Education in Western India was established in 1936 by the Ahmedabad Education Society. Ahmedabad Education Society(AES) was established in 1935 by visionaries like Sheth Kasturbhai Lalbhai, Sheth Amrutlal Hargovandas, Shri G.V. Mavlankar, Shri C.C.Gandhi, as part of the freedom movement to make education accessible to the Indians. Over the years, AES has set up a number of institutions providing kindergarten to post graduate education. H.L.College has a track record of high academic excellence, disciplinary standards and overall development of its students. H.L.C.C. is among the few colleges at the all India level who has been accredited with "A+" grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), a Bangalore based autonomous body of the UGC. |

The college greeted the new millennium with major initiatives and set up new centres of learning offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in business management and computer studies affiliated to the Gujarat University together with a morning B.Com College from the same premises. |

- H.L.INSTITUTE OF COMMERCE : (HLIC)
H. L. Institute of Commerce was incepted in the year 1999. Being a self-financed commerce institute, it believes in the overall development of the institute. So along with imparting premier academic education, it also stresses on students' participation in creative and cultural activities. H.L.I.C. produces toppers at the Gujarat University Examinations. This leads to a promising future in the field of Accountancy and Commerce. H. L. Institute of Commerce has been recently accredited by "B++" grade by from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), a Banglore based autonomous body of the UGC.

- B. K. MAJMUDAR INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION : (H.L.B.B.A)
Set up in 1999, B.K. Majmudar Institute of Business Administration – HLBBA, offers under graduate programme leading to the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). The Institute is dedicated to actualization of its motto: ’nurturing excellence’. And it does so, by using an array of teaching pf pedagogies like industrial visits, project reports, class presentations, case studies and guest lectures along with classroom teaching and continuous assessment of students.
The Institute integrates IT into learning process and endeavors to provide opportunities for all-round development of the students. The Institute offers many opportunities for creative expression, but at the same time, it insists on regular attendance, discipline and involvement to impart rigor in academic training Programmes.
The Institute is the only self-financed, stand alone, affiliated B.B.A. Institute to be accredited with B++ grade (84.3%), by NAAC, Bangalore.

- H.L.INSTITUTE OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS : (HLICA)
With emerging Information Technological needs, AES thought to start an institute to impart knowledge and train undergraduates in the field of information technology. So in the year 1999, H.L.Institute of Computer Applications, a self financed institute, was incepted. It mainly aims to train IT professionals through its unique system of teaching which includes class room teaching, evaluation of case studies, group projects and lectures from various experts of the IT field. The NAAC Peer Team has also visited HLICA. The HLICA is awarded “B++” Grade by NAAC Committee

- A.E.S INSTITUTE OF COMPUTER STUDIES : (AESICS)
AESICS, a self finance institute was founded in the year 2000 which offers Post Graduate in Computer Science. It understands the Information Technology boom in the country and excels students in effective software development. It is the medium to increase the technological awareness among the student fraternity and promises excellent future in the IT field. AESICS has also been scrutinised by NAAC Peer Team. The AESICS is awarded “B++” Grade by NAAC Committee.
